The International Baccalaureate Program

St. Laurence is the Southland’s only International Baccalaureate World School among Catholic high schools. The rigorous, highly regarded two-year program allows students to earn college credit and is considered “the gold standard of high school curriculum in admissions circles.”

What is an International Baccalaureate (IB) education?

  • IB focuses on each student as a whole person.
  • The aim is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people with adaptable skills to tackle society’s complex challenges and who will help to make it a better, more peaceful world.
