Explore Your Creative Side
The St. Laurence High School Fine Arts Department is a place where all students can foster and strengthen their creative talents. The Visual and Performing Arts curriculum is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for students interested in art, music, and theatre. Students who enroll in these classes learn how to express themselves and create with passion.
Drama
With opportunities on stage and behind the scenes, “The STL Players” is one of St. Laurence’s fastest growing clubs. The theatre group puts on two performances per year, plus competes in IHSA’s annual Group Interpretation competition.
Visual Arts
With classes such as Art I and II, Graphic Design I and II and Studio Art, there are plenty of opportunities for students to express themselves in the classroom, whether they are beginners or seasoned artists.
Music
From football games to competitions to the Spring concert, our band provides the soundtrack to St. Laurence. Additionally, there are seven different music electives offers to St. Laurence students.
